    As a scientist I must first quote my bias toward the author as I love and live with her (I'm her boyfriend). I think most will agree that this book starts off like a love story. As a guy, I don't really read lovey dovey novels. But as soon as the cliff scene ends, the questions begin and the book gets harder and harder to put down as tension builds toward an explosive ending. The concomitant nature of the love story paired with the struggles of the characters gives this book a unique fascinating feel which is not often achieved.
